Principal David Baker and Sam Peach, Dean of Sport, Physical Education and Leisure recently enjoyed taking part in phase one of the construction for the New Sports Centre at UCP Marjon, which involved demolishing the old site.

During this building work, the Centre remains open and we are doing our best to keep disruption to a minimum.

Professor David Baker said:
“UCP Marjon’s applications are up by 11% this year and as we continue to be a popular institution it is important that we invest in our facilities to ensure students have the best possible Higher Education Experience. The feedback so far is one of excitement and anticipation of what will be a fantastic Sports Centre for our students, staff and the City of Plymouth.’   

The building work is on schedule and the centre will be finished by May 2010
