Plymouth Entrepreneurs Bootcamp™ candidate is announced
Released: 19.03.09
Following recent publicity regarding the opportunity for a UCP Marjon student, staff member or graduate to take part in the Plymouth Entrepreneurs Boot Camp 2009, we can announce that the successful candidate has been selected by a panel of 4 judges from UCP Marjon and Pragmatic Performance Management:
Charlotte Dymond – Sports Science Lab Technician and UCP Marjon graduate will be taking part in the 5 day intensive business training event from Mon 30th March – Fri 3rd April which will be based in UCP Marjon's iSpace.
Two years in the planning and involving a wide range of business organisations from across the South West, the unique and innovative Entrepreneurs Bootcamp™ had its first outing in the UK in Plymouth in March 2007.
Designed and developed by business acceleration specialists Pragmatic Performance Group Ltd as part of the Plymouth Business Growth project, the Entrepreneurs Bootcamp™ is a radically new approach to nurturing, establishing and growing new entrepreneurs in business. It combines the best that the business, academic and military worlds have to offer.
Entrants do not need qualifications or loads of business experience – just enthusiasm, determination and drive and of course, a business idea that has commercial potential. Neither do they need money. This unique venture brings together existing businesses and commercial organisations who sponsor the participants – financially for the five day Bootcamp immersion experience and then as supporters and mentors for the following twelve months as the participants’ business ideas get all the help they need to take off.
The Entrepreneurs Bootcamp™ is not a training course. It is a unique entrepreneurial immersion programme that will provide successful entrants with the secrets to business success – from the knowledge needed to launch a successful business to the contacts who will help accelerate that growth.
