University College donates equipment
Released: 05.08.11
This year UCP Marjon has donated used computer equipment, office furniture, filling cabinets and books to St John’s University in Tanzania.
The donation came about following a meeting between Teacher Paul Salaman who works in Tanzania and the Chaplain and Principal of UCP Marjon.
The container was arranged by Paul himself and colleges including Truro and Penwith College, Cornwall College, Plymouth University as well as several libraries were able to contribute by giving used computers, switches, furniture, books, bookshelves and audio visual equipment.
After receiving the delivery, Paul said
“The job of opening boxes, cataloging and servicing equipment before things are put to use still lies before us but we’d like to take this opportunity to thank all who made this shipment possible through donating equipment, time and resources over the past year”.
