| I am currently working towards an EdD at Exeter University | |
| Research Background: I have a wide and varied research focus, from looking at the effectiveness of Prison and Probation Services accredited programmes, through the value of clinical supervision in the NHS to the role of personal tutoring in Higher Education. More recently, due to beginning the EdD I have been researching into reflective practice and lifelong learning in the NHS. |

| Research Interests: How knowledge, skills and values taught in HE alongside the support given to students prepares them for reflective practice and lifelong learning. My second interest is around developing the role of an SLT in the forensic and mental health fields |

| Other Interests: I am currently working with the South West Health Authority, NHS education leads and others from health undergraduate prequalification programmes to develop a South West wide policy document on recruitment and selection of individuals to health programmes. Previously I have worked with Plymouth Teaching PCT to deliver clinical supervision training to staff. I am currently a registered occupational therapist on the HPC register. |
