Frequently asked questions
Q1. What is Clearing?
Clearing is the time immediately after the A level results are announced. It is for people who haven't already applied for this year or, who aren't holding any offers, to apply for a place at university.
Q2. I applied to UCP Marjon earlier in the year, but did not receive an offer. Can I re-apply through Clearing?
You can't apply for the same course through Clearing but we'd be pleased to consider you for an alternative one.
Q3. Can I speak to someone about my application?
The Admissions Office will be pleased to help you. Telephone 01752 636890.
Q4. What happens after I submit an application through Clearing?
When you telephone us, we will take your details to consider you for a place on your chosen programme, subject to available spaces. We will telephone you with a verbal decision and, if we are able to offer a place, ask you to refer yourself through the UCAS Electronic Clearing System.
Q5. When can I expect to hear the result of my application?
If you telephone us we will give you a verbal decision by return telephone call. Any offer would be dependent upon the paperwork being received a few days later.
Q6. Can I still apply for assistance with my fees or a student loan at this late stage?
Yes, contact Student Finance England.
