Additional Information
What the students say:
The mathematics enhancement course was a fantastic influential course, not only in a mathematical context but in a teaching one too. I have developed my mathematical ability tenfold and the dynamic and innovative teaching styles adapted by the superb teaching staff at UCP Marjon have given me an insight into the classroom itself. They have been fabulous role models and have used a variety of fun but informative mathematical tasks and ideas many of which I will use when I enter the classroom in the future.
Carlton (EEC Student 2010 – 11)
This year has been highly beneficial for me and has greatly built up my confidence in the subject. Without the course I do not feel that I would have been equipped to teach the subject. It has also been a great opportunity to experience first hand a large variety of teaching and learning styles that will stand me in good stead entering my PGCE year.
(EEC student 2010-11)
I truly feel it was a life changing year for me – going from being a full time mum to a student. I have enjoyed using my brain again, stretching my abilities and see potential in myself. All tutors were very encouraging, understanding and supportive. I feel this course has given me a good grounding in PGCE training and I’ll always remember my year at UCP Marjon with warmth and appreciation.
