MA Leadership and Management
Introduction

The MA in Leadership and Management is an innovative and flexible one-year full-time Masters programme and also contains accreditation by the ILM for the award of their Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Leadership.
The programme is intended for practicing professionals who are either working or have aspirations to work in a developmental way as a manager or leader. It is equally relevant to those working in public, private or voluntary organizations. The programme will involve face-to-face residential workshops, action-learning sets, work-based action research and one-to-one coaching and mentoring in order to integrate theory and professional practice, critical thought and self awareness.

Duration
One year full time starting in September 2011 or 3 year part time basis with progression from Postgraduate Certificate to Postgraduate Diploma and then MA. Part time 1 year for Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership and Management. Part time 2 years for Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership and Management. Part time 3 years for MA in Leadership and Management.
Entry Requirements
Entry onto the programme requires a Bachelors degree 2:2 or equivalent.

The work-based action research studies and dissertation topic will be individually negotiated by participants and carried out in the individual’s professional work setting.
