Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership and Management
Introduction
This programme aims to give practising or potential senior managers the critical evaluative skills for their formal development in the roles of managing and leadership. The qualification achieves this by developing strategic leadership skills and assisting participants in gaining the strategic management knowledge required at this level.

3 hours per week for 9 months duration
Entry Requirements
Applicants should have achieved 360 undergraduate credits and preferably a minimum of a 2:2 classification.
Module Information
Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership and Management modules
- Managing in a Strategic Context
The focus is upon the comprehensive analysis and evaluation of an organisation’s operating environment with assessment of business strategy and its resource implications.

Managing and Leading People
The focus is upon developing knowledge and critical understanding of different factors which encourage change and evaluate their impact upon people management activities with engagement as to the value of leadership.

Leadership: Organisational Context and Self (ILM validated module)
The focus is upon extending learning from the previous two modules and engage with the theories of leadership (traditional and contemporary) and the relationship of the leadership role within an organisation’s operating environment and business strategy implementation.
Thereafter for a further 60 M level credits, Postgraduate Diploma studies include:-
- Delivering Excellence in Operations
- Sustainable Financial Management
- Research Methods
and MA (Top Up) studies (60 M level credits)
- Management Research Report and Implementation Plan
Fees and Funding
Postgraduate Certificate (60 credits) £1,500 Home / EU plus ILM registration and certification fees.
