Overview All our postgraduate programmes for English language teaching professionals – including teachers, trainers, inspectors, mentors and managers – are designed to provide:

Awards, Credits and Study Hours
All modules on postgraduate programmes are credit-bearing; some modules are 15 credits, some 30 and some 60. It is possible to build up a qualification by taking modules either on a full-time or part-time basis. The postgraduate award levels and the corresponding credits and study hours are as follows:

Modes of Study
- Full-time: one year at UCP Marjon in Plymouth (October to September)
- Part-time: up to five years on a modular basis in UCP Marjon in Plymouth, or for a group in their own country with direct teaching and on-line support.
Entry Requirements
Applicants for the postgraduate programme are normally required to have a first degree (Bachelor level) and two or more years of relevant experience. In addition, those applicants whose mother tongue is not English will need to provide evidence of proficiency in the language (e.g. IELTS minimum 6.5; TOEFL 570, written version). You may seek recognition for prior learning on achievement at universities and other HE institutions or approved professional bodies.

The part-time in-country Postgraduate Programme fees for a specific group vary according to Project requirements and group size. For in-country group fees, please contact the Centre for International Education (international@ucpmarjon.ac.uk).
Programme Staff
The staff involved on our postgraduate English language programmes have long experience in teaching at this level both in the UK and abroad. They also have appropriate specialisms.
