Swine Flu

Swine flu is the common name that has been given to a new strain of influenza. It is thought to have originated in pigs, but this is not known for certain.

The most common symptoms are fever, sore throat, diarroea, headache, feeling generally unwell and a dry cough, in short symptoms very similar to seasonal influenza. Most cases reported have been relatively mild, with recovery within a week, even without special treatment.

Any student at UCP Marjon diagnosed with Swine Flu is asked to contact Student Support by telephone or email as soon as possible.
