University College Plymouth St Mark & St John

Distance Learners

Students on UCP Marjon distance learning courses are entitled to the same service as all other students and are welcome to use the Library. However we realise that it is not always possible to visit us in person and a range of services has been set up to meet these needs. The Library can be contacted in the following ways:

By mail:

The Library
The University College Plymouth St Mark & St John
Derriford Rd
Plymouth
Devon
PL6 8BH

By telephone: 01752 761145

By email:  dllib@marjon.ac.uk

If you would like to request library materials to be sent out to you, please fill in one of these forms:

Also have a look at our Distance Learner helpguide

Please ensure that you have checked to see whether the materials you are requesting are already available as an e-book or electronic journal. If they available, you do not need to make a distance learner request. There are helpguides showing how to log into and search the electronic resources on the helpguides page.

The Distance Learning Service is open to all students registered on a college course who are either based at a centre not on the University College campus, or are following an official University College distance learning course. If you are not sure if you qualify for distance learner services, please email libraryenquiries@marjon.ac.uk and we will find out for you.

Information for PAHC students

If you wish to make a distance learner request for material held at UCP Marjon Library, please ask your lecturer/module leader/tutor to email us at libraryenquiries@marjon.ac.uk to confirm that you are eligible. Until we have received notification from them, we cannot offer you any distance learner services.

The University College also belongs to the SCONUL Access scheme, this allows distance learners to borrow books from certain academic libraries which are near their home. More information is available on the SCONUL Access web page.
